Download Lascar Port Devices Driver

Aug 12, 2015 There is no com port section in the device manager. I have updated drivers, tried different connectors etc. I did the command prompt method on both machines and there simply are no com ports. The device shows up as a mass storage device under the USB section. I cant get either machine (win 10 or 8.1) to recognize it as a com port. The only problem with it, is that, it reload the latest driver when you plug the device on a never used USB port. So, if you change place of connection, you should manually set the driver to 3.3, but you have to do that only the first time you used this port. Next time, the driver remain to 3.3 and never upgrade to 3.6.

For most devices, the Ports device setup class and the Serial function driver provide the functionality required to operate serial ports and COM ports. To install serial ports and COM ports using these system-supplied components, do the following:

  • Provide an INF file that specifies the Ports device setup class and the Serial function driver as the service for the port.

  • To configure a serial port as COM port, comply with the requirements that are defined in Configuration of COM Ports.
